當我們一同坐下的時候 Sitting down nearly
就可以不理 With implication in mind clearly
那些時間和聲音 We may ignore those
胸中了然的默契，除非 Time and Voice.
除非我們自己 Nothing takes us apart,
沒有什麼能拆散。 Nothing except ourselves,
這輩子 In this life.
也不用再計畫那些高地野餐 Needn't plan those upland picnics,
那些面具，舞會， Masks, dances, and
旋轉的距離 Distance of spinning,
那些帶領我們遠離一切的 Those wonderful things, which
美好 Take us far away
不是不重要了 From the whole creation.
而是不必 Not unimportantly,
可以犯規，但 But unnecessarily.
我們寧可不 Be allowed to break the rules, but
We'll rather not.
生下一些東西，拿走 Make something aborning,
一些東西，整個人生證成某個真理 Take another abandoning,
相對於想做的事 Spending entire life on proving some kind of truths.
人和人的夢永遠那麼卑微 Comparing with what you really want to do,
可是現在 Man and his dreams are such littleness,
現在我想說： But now I only want to say:
「晚安，親愛的阿麗思 "Goodnight, dear Alice,
現在我們睡在這裡，沒有關係。」 Now we're sleeping here, it's all right."
